Due to the unique cleaning steps and higher temperature
bonding of the ceramic welding powder, the FUSION process
offers a more durable and long lasting repair.
The Process
Step 1 - - The preparation and
cleaning of the surface to be repaired is critical to
the repair life.
After host brick has been thoroughly cleaned the brick
work is allowed to recover lost heat to enhance the
bonding of the welding process.
Step 2 The welding lance
carries the reactive welding powder and oxygen to the
hot brick surface setting up an exothermic reaction
between the weld material and host brickwork.
Step 3 After welding
an inspection is made and documented to assure a quality
weld that meets environmental and operating requirements.
